Prince Edward County (PEC) caps the number of whole-home Short-Term Accommodation (STA) licences in the County and actively enforces compliance. Operating without a valid STA licence number can result in fines of $500–$10,000 per offence. Every booking must collect the 4% Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT), which is remitted to the County quarterly.
